We bid farewell to Rita M. McBride (Wheaton, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2025 at the age of 93. Rita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Griffin O'Leary and Patrick O'Leary; her husband David Neil McBride; her son John McBride (Joy); and her siblings, Thomas, David O'Leary and Eileen Burke.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen, Anne, James (Jean), Thomas and Eileen Shannon (Patrick); her grandchildren, Emily Stanley (Ashbe), Timothy Monforton, Sean McBride (Alaina), Brendan McBride (Elena), Victoria Fleming (Connor), Elizabeth Moss (John) and Kevin Shannon; her great grandchildren, Emma Moss and Xavior Stanley; and her sister Theresa Boyle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church (101 W Loop Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189).
