As Shawn departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Shawn. Though Shawn may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Melissa Giancana; his children, Shawn Robert Swanson Jr. and Alexis Elisabeth Swanson; his stepchild Kalista Ann Giancana; his parents, Lynn Swanson and Robert Swanson; and his parents-in-law, Andy and Cathi Giancana.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Knollcrest Funeral Home (1500 S Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
