He was predeceased by: his parents, Aksel Lorentsen and Marta Lorentsen; his wife Mary Varland; and his sister Eleanor Bates (late Cecil). He is survived by: his sister Martha Nelson; his sons, John Lorentsen (Deb) of Wheaton, James Lorentsen (Amy) of Wheaton and Paul Lorentsen (Kelli) of Phoenix; his grandchildren, Matt, Marty (Jane), Jack, Addy, Zach, Joe (Maddie), Andy and Erin; and his great grandchildren, Sage, Grace and Van. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
