He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregor and Dolores; his sister Dolores McDonald; and his siblings-in-law, Lourdes Goetz (late Ed) and Robert Warren (Betsy).
He is survived by: his close friend Rosemary Warren; his wife Rose; his daughters, Laurie Velez (Todd Morden) and Donna Rupsis; his grandchildren, Tony James Velez (Kayla Oslakovich) and Amy Anita Rupsis; and his siblings, Irene Hanson (late Bruce), Mary Andreotta and Edgar Buss (Kimberly).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kolssak Funeral Home (189 S Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling, IL 60090). Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (10 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the St. Mary Catholic Church (10 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089).
