Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (181 W Dundee Rd, Wheeling, IL 60090). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully appreciate offerings of Masses or donations to the Order of the Carmelites.

“My condolences to Joan's sisters. I remember when Joan was the our first Associate Director of the PHJC Community. She was a very kind and caring person. She was particularly fond of my mother, Doris Albrecht, who was also an Associate. Doris made little boxes from recycled cards and gave them to many people requesting they pray for her. Joan was pleased to receive a box! Now we pray for Joan to rest in the arms of Jesus and Mary. Barb Lowry PHJC Associate, Donaldson, IN”
