With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Martin of White Hall, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Martin and Sarah Wells Martin; his wife Vera Myers; his son Barry; his daughter-in-law Kathy; his siblings, James (Maureen Martin), Martha (Norman Ward), Harriett (Don Crossman), Joyce (Pat Oswald) and Mary; his brother-in-law Paul Weber; and his sister Jeanette Weber.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Newingham (Jeff Baise) and Randy Martin (Diana); his grandchildren, Darby Martin (Jolyn), Karly Martin (Denny), Nathan Newingham (Amber), Elizabeth Roush (Mike) and Bryan Loy; and his great grandchildren, Layne Newingham (Jessica), Cicely Leonetti, Tally Martin, Peter, Laura, Mary, John, Bridget Roush, Naomi and Demi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, their children, and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (130 Raines St, White Hall, IL 62092). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at the White Hall Cemetery.
