It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Cyril Bornheimer of Whittington, Illinois, born in Wausau, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Martin Bornheimer and Ella Bornheimer (Strauser); his spouse Marien Agnes Lewandowski; and his brother-in-law Richard Ashbeck. He is survived by: his son Robert J. Bornheimer (Allison) of Mascoutah, Illinois; his grandchildren, Nolan, Decklyn and Ledger; and his sister Carol Ashbeck of Edgar, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made In Memory of Robert C. Bornheimer, to the Rend Lake College Foundation for the annual Bornheimer Family Scholarship; and will be accepted at the Leffler Funeral Home.
