Shirley E. Black Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley E. Black of Williamsville, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Davidsmeier and Alice Fern Davidsmeier; and her siblings, Orville, Wilbur, Russell, Donald and Doris "Midgie" Waters.
She is survived by: her children, Sherrie, Diane Hays (Carroll), Rick (Viki) and Jackie Karr (Chuck); her husband Bob; and her siblings, Barbara Thomas (James), Willis (Pat) and Kenneth Davidsmeier (Shari). She is also survived by her four children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mott & Henning Funeral Home (206 N Main St, Athens, IL 62613). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
