He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Heinz and Franziska Tegtmeier (Blut). He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Andrea Vie (Paul), Stephen Tegtmeier (Jeannine) and Paul Tegtmeier (Beth); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Makenna), Alyssa, Kimberly, Daniel, Olivia, Joseph, Benjamin and Anna; and his sister-in-law Wilma Sarna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Beyond his military service, he was a respected member of the Italian American Executives of Transportation, where he built lasting friendships and made meaningful contributions to the community.
