It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara L. Epler (Wilmette, Illinois), born in Dixon, Illinois, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Epler; her parents, Frances and Edward; and her siblings, Rita, Mary Ellen and Gregory.

She is survived by: her children, John, Laura, Margaret and Barbara; and her grandsons, Matt, Joe and Patrick.

After decades of being a dedicated special ed teacher at Evanston Township High School, she was for many happy years a docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
