He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Helia Schramm; his son Eugene Kagan (Yelena); his stepdaughters, Lisa Shuwal and Stefanie Nagelbach; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Julia, Matthew, Ryan and Tyler; his sister Marina Fabrikant (Ilya); and his sibling's children, Benjamin, Maya and Iva Fabrikant.
