He is survived by : his children, Ruth Phillips (Jorge Ramirez) and Adam Phillips (Satoko); his stepdaughter Bridget Ragnarsson (Kári); his grandchildren, Ben, Alex Ramirez, Freyja, Patrek and Loa Ragnarsson; and his siblings, Rob Phillips (Marilee), Ken Phillips (Janis) and Jerry Phillips.
