With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Cordell (Wilmette, Illinois), born in Evanston, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on December 9, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Cordell and Margaret Cordell; his sister Peggy Phillips (Tony); and his wife Kathy Cordell. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah, Jacqueline and Madeline Cordell; and his siblings, Mary Kay Irmiter (Chris), Ellen Cordell, Larry Cordell (Wenom) and Barbara Van Der (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Church (524 9th St, Wilmette, IL 60091). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
