He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mania Birnberg and Joseph Birnberg; his wife Barbara; his grandchildren, Micah, Lyla and Colby; and his sisters, Estella Levin and Renee Silberman. He was also cherished by loving brothers and sisters-in- law and their children and grandchildren.

Contributions may be made in Nathan's memory to JUF, JCFS's Heichal House, or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
