It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lee Bixby (Wilmington, Illinois), born in Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bixby and Ila Bixby (Mosher); his siblings, Marjorie Gillick, Carm Danner and Roger Bixby; and his stepbrother Dick Bixby.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Susan Chilton (Larry) of LaGrange, IL and Kathryn Bixby-Browne (Kieran) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Megan Farwell (Chris), Kathryn Chilton (Adrian) and Ryan Chilton; his great grandchild Diana; his cousin Chuck Kibler; and his friend Jacque Vicini.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Morris Rotary Club.
