He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Vanness and Montie Vanness; and his siblings, Louise Davis, Mildred Akins, Raymond Vanness and Willis Vanness.
He is survived by: his wife Elcia Vanness; his daughters, Barbara McKenzie (Jeffrey), Betty Vanness and Donna Vanness; his grandchildren, Sean McKenzie and Kaitlin McKenzie; and his brother James Vanness (Shirley). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's name to the Wilmington VFW or Wilmington Lions Club and would be most appreciated.
