He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Gertie Dickison (Roar); his daughters, Teresa Kaye Boward and Terenia Maye Foster; his grandson B. J. Boward; and his brothers, Kermit Dickison, Cecil Ray Dickison and Malcomb Dickison.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Elkins; his children, John Martin Dickison (Roxanne) of Kentucky and Tonyia Jo Johnson (Jody) of Florida; his son-in-law Jim Foster of Tennessee; his sister Sharon Davis of Kansas; his sister-in-law Nancy Dickison of Chatsworth; and his caregiver Clement. He is also survived by grandchildren; (32) great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, wonderful neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wesley Cemetery (18978 W Manteno Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481).
