With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy J. Daniels of Wilmington, Illinois, born in Fairfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bruce and Ruby Bruce (Edmison); her husband Glen Daniels; her sons, Billy Daniels and Kevin Daniels; and her siblings, Walter "Gene" Bruce, Virgil "Doyle" Bruce, Leslie Bruce, Billy Bruce of Clarence, Bruce, Tommy Bruce, Beulah Sledge, Norma Walker, Betty McKinney, Theda Ferguson, Phyllis "Joann" Bunnage and Verna Bloodworth.
She is survived by: her children, Patti Calhoon (Bill) of Wilmington, Randy Daniels (Kathy) of Wilmington and Tammy McCormick (John) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Glennden Daniels (Sara), Miranda Calhoon, Jacqueline Daniels, Katrina Skoryi (Kyle), Laura Schroeder (Ryan), Jacob Daniels (Tori), Morgan Imrak (Ferat) and John McCormick; her great grandchildren, Ali Daniels, Drew Daniels, Maggie Skoryi, Lennox Daniels, Cayde Skoryi, Audrey Schroeder and Spencer Daniels; and her friend Jane Ashcraft. She is also survived by many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oakwood Sunset Cemetery (700 Williams St, Wilmington, IL 60481).
