We are sad to announce that on February 19, 2024, at the age of 71, Sharon Boynton of Wilmington, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald B. and Rose M. (Alstott); her husband Glenn O. Boynton; her siblings, Daniel Frey, Lee Frey and Judith Capper; and her cousin Joyce Williams.

She is survived by : her children, Glenn O., Jr. Boynton (Colette), Matthew D. Boynton (Teresa) and Sara Barbour (Scott); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lisa, Brendan, Brianna, Matthew II, Angelina, Rose, Glenn W., Alexander and Seth; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Joshua, Jenna and Evan; and her sister Donna Nutt of Kansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Sharon's memory to The Wilmington Lions Club or to the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
