We are sad to announce that, on January 26, 2026, at the age of 72, Fredie Derrington of Winnebago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Fredie departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Fredie. Though Fredie may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his mother Alaray L. Derrington (Dunn); his wife Kimberly Derrington (McDonald); his father Fred Ray Derrington; his siblings, Earmon Derrington and Louise Nutt (Derrington); and his brother-in-law Norman Nutt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Caitlin Hardcastle (Derrington) and Chelsea Smith (Dustin Hardcastle); his grandchildren, Atticus Hardcastle, Stella Smith and Rowan Smith; his sister Dorothy Beckington (Derrington); and his brother-in-law Robert Beckington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
