We announce the death of Mildred E. Bridgeland of Winnebago, Illinois, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 97. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Milton and Ethel Edith Whitney; her husband Arthur Edward Bridgeland; her brother Milton Whitney (Evie); and her grandson Matthew DeBroux.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Bridgeland (Janet), Cindy Clauson (Mike), Connie Bruss (Steve) and Candy DeBroux (Dave); her grandchildren, Del Brigham (Paul), Aaron Bridgeland (Mackenzie), Brett Bridgeland (Kari), Hannah Bridgeland (Amish Brahmbhatt), Dan Clauson (Emily Galassi), Melanie Erickson, Tobby Bruss (Britton), Teena Taivalmaa (Mike), Travis Bruss (Carmen), Tammy Bruss, Kelli Turner (Behr), Robert Bartholomew, Stacy Smith (Josh), Amber Pifer (Michael), Andrew Brigham (Ashlee Farrow) and Elyse Crawley (Mike); her great grandchildren, Aidan, Nora Bridgeland, August, Benjamin Bridgeland, Lucy Galassi, Madeline, Liam Bruss, Keegan, Quaye, Mika (Avery Mugeraur), Brayden, Nya Taivalmaa, McKenzie, Gavin, Mason Bruss, Micah, Meira, Estelle Turner, Connor, Lachlan Brigham and Jasper Crawley; her great great grandchild Zaylee Ana Mugerauer; and her brother Ken Whitney (Susan). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
