He is survived by : his children, Robert Van Cleave (Barbara) of Cheyenne, WY, Terry Kelley (Jim) of Renton, WA, Brian Van Cleave (Patti) of Winnetka Il and Jim Van Cleave (Lynn) of Northbrook, IL.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

They served together on the board of the Chicago Alzheimer's Association.
