He is survived by: his brother Arthur Jr.; his wife Marianne Djidrova; his sister Barbara Nielsen; his children, Jeffrey Stephen Nielsen, Sonja Nielsen Smith (Curtis) and Frederick Roland Nielsen; and his grandchildren, Henry Nielsen Pelinski, Colby Arthur Smith, Sophie Middleton Smith, Roman Era Nielsen and Livia Era Nielsen.
