With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Montgomery of Winslow, Illinois, born in Monroe, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Orlo Swanson and Cora Swanson (Seffrood); her siblings, Lyle, Robert and Marie; her son-in-law Gene; her stepgrandson Derek; and her sisters-in-law, Lilly Swanson and Tillie Swanson.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Montgomery (Julie) of Winslow, IL, Gail Brister of Lena, IL and Sue Montgomery of Lena, IL; her grandchildren, Ryan Montgomery (Krista), Kyle Montgomery (Kali), Autumn Wagner (Bill), Amanda Winters, Grant Winters (Carmen), Jennifer Brister (Kim Gorgo) and Laura Brister; her stepgrandson David Brister; and her brother Orville Swanson (Dorothy). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Leamon Funeral Home (210 W Main St, Lena, IL 61048). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
