With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allan Raymond Roades of Wood River, Illinois, born in Alton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Marie Holland and Raymond Ralph Roades of Wood River, Illinois.; his son Jacob Dean Shoemaker; and his sister-in-law Doni Travis. He is survived by: his wife Karen Travis Roades of Benbrook, Texas; his brother Roger Lee Roades; his siblings-in-law, Angela Roades of Batchtown, Illinois and Arvie Travis of Saginaw, Texas; his nieces, Sarah Roades Hill (Michael) of Batchtown, Illinois, Lydia Roades Swan (Jeremy) of Roodhouse, Illinois, Christina Travis Rivas (Rafael) of Pattonville, Texas and Jess Travis Quinn (Joseph) of Saginaw, Texas; and his nephew Matthew Travis (Emily) of Joshua, Texas. He is also survived by eleven great nephews and two great nieces.
