He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Grindstaff and Ruby Grindstaff (Gilliland); his grandson Eric Grindstaff; and his siblings, Jerry Grindstaff and Delmar Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Torrez (Kevin) of Alton, Michelle Jones (Kevin) of Kansas City, MO and Marty Grindstaff of Wood River; his grandchildren, Ashley Nevlin (Tim), Cody Odom, Katie Grindstaff, Kayson Jones and Cooper Jones; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Mia, Maverick Nevlin, Zeldris, Atreus Odom and Aaron Halpin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
