He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Dake and Leona Dake (Schoenweis); and his siblings, Donald Dake and Jean Davis. He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Jean (Kevin Kellim) and Patti Jane Ward of Topeka; and his stepdaughter Penny Jo (Lee Stewart) of Wentzville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pitchford Funeral Home (2555 Vaughn Rd, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Hope Center or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
