He is survived by: his wife Shirley Barnett (Shoemaker); his sister Marjorie Schwaab of Alton; his daughters, Carol Ehlke (Fred) of Highland, Barb Buck (Jordan) of St. Jacob and Jeri Dietz (Daniel) of Florissant, Missouri; his nephews, Steve Rogier (Monique) of Shiloh and Steve "Mac" McPherson (Joanne) of Hill City; his grandchildren, Nonie Murdick (Randy), Katie Ferkel (Darrell), Christopher Ehlke (Brianna), Andrew Buck, Claire Garner (Evan), Jackson Buck, Ella Buck, Ryan Dietz, Jessica Dietz (Jake Crist), Josh Dietz, Betsy Hooks (Darren), David Rogier (Madelyn), Jacob Rogier (Richelle), Katherine McPherson and Connor McPherson; and his great grandchildren, Abram, Elena, Zechariah, Athena, Warren, Herschel, Willa, Teddy, Russell, Emily and Owen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Community Bible Church (4940 Benchmark Centre Dr, Swansea, IL 62226). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
