Aper (Groth); his wife Mary Jane Short; his daughter Christa Hopp (James Schmidt) of Edwardsville; his grandchildren, Jacob William Hopp and Grace Marie Hopp; and his siblings, Simon Aper (Judy) of Broadwell, IL, Sharon Begolka of Lincoln and Rita Wahl of Pekin.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River where he had been a member.
