He is survived by: his wife Connie Schutzenhofer; his son Michael Tate Schmidt (Jennifer) of Grafton; his granddaughter Eloise; his siblings, Virginia Ziglar (Larry) of Staunton, Chris Schmidt (Suprina) of Edwardsville, Joe Schmidt (Julie) of St. Charles, MO and Tom Schmidt of Roxana; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Schutzenhofer (Jodi) of Florissant, MO, John Schutzenofer (Tyrene) of Carrollton, VA, Amanda Lewis (Jerome) and Karen Talbot (Stuart) of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
