David Shaw Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Shaw (Wood River, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leroy and Doris Jean Shaw (Smith); his former wife Rebecca E. Hale; his grandchildren, Devyn Shaw and River Faith Chapman; and his brother Francis Shaw.

He is survived by: his wife Linda MacDowell; his sons, Brian Shaw (Paula) of Katy, TX, Kevin Shaw of Longview, TX and Jerrad Shaw of East Alton; his stepson Keegan Norman (Laura) of Altamonte Springs, FL; his daughter Jennifer Ortega (Constantino) of Katy, TX; his stepdaughter Kaitlyn Chapman of Godfrey; his brother Mike Shaw of East Alton; and his sister-in-law Nancy Shaw of East Alton.
