With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Ann McCaslin (Wood River, Illinois), born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elizabeth Ann McCaslin to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Chambers and Margaret Chambers (Hoops); and her sister Laverne Dailey. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Ann Schuchardt (Mel) of Rio Rancho, NM and Walter McCaslin (Carol) of Wood River, IL; her grandchildren, Sara Mulholland (Brian), Courtney Anselmo (Greg), Dale Schuchardt (Brianda) and Jonni McCaslin; and her brothers, Joseph Chambers (Jan) and Harry Chambers (Jan). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Wood River.

“McCaslin family, my heart is heavy for you yet I rejoice that Liz is home. What a legacy she leaves. The first time I met her was in adult Sunday school. She was on her phone and must have seen me watching her. She looked up and said, “ Oh honey, I’m not playing on my phone. I’m looking at my Bible app.” I was a fan of hers from then on. Ray Bolz wrote a song called, Thank you. I think it is what happened in heaven when Liz arrived. Much love to all, Colleen Brown”
