He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Edward "Eddie" and Thelma Jean "Edgar" Ballard; his girlfriend Rebecca Sanders of Wood River; his daughter Genie Akers (Ben) of Glen Carbon; his siblings, Greg Ballard (Becky) of Wood River, Chuck Ballard of East Alton, Tim Ballard (Chris) of Medora and Robin Disney (Steve) of Wood River; his grandchildren, Juliet and Jude Akers; and his nephew Jacob Ringering.
You would always catch him listening to his favorite station, KSHE 95, and it was very important to him to always attend the KSHE blood drive and donate.
