He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herman and Mary E. Hawkins (McPherson); his daughter Christina Hawkins Phillips; and his brother Tom Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hagerman; his children, Joe Hawkins (Debbie) of Nora, IA, Jeff Hawkins (Sheryl) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jennifer Aguinaga (Nick) of Wood River, Amy Hawkins (Josh Utnage) of East Alton and Debbie Howell (Grady) of Nesbit, MS; his grandchildren, Hannah Hernandez (Deci), Joe Hawkins (Michelle), Jacob Hawkins (Keriann), Daniel Phillips (Tara), Tabitha Kloempken (Jared), Eli Aguinaga (Katie), Adam Aguinaga, Christina Stokes (Steven), Nathan Hawkins, Katie Frey (Marcus), Ethan Jones, Emily Hawkins, Dalton Jones (Oliviah), Hudson Treadway (Eason) and Carrie Howell; his great grandchildren, Aleigha, Demitrez, Edgar, Juniper, Brigham, Garland, Josie, Maisie, Bryn, Jeremiah, Jasper, John, Elliot, Iris and Amelia; and his sister Mary Sickbert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vaughn Hill Church of Christ (662 S Bellwood Dr, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Rosewood Heights Fire Department or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
