He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Morten and Alice Morten (Hise); and his siblings, Gracie Ellis, Shirley Moore, Teresa Thompson and Charles Morten.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Thompson; his children, Vicki Morten of Carbondale, Becky Patterson (Kraig) of Hamel and Don Morten of Bethalto; his grandchildren, Josh Morten (Katie) of Bethalto, Katelyn Snyder (Sam) of Edwardsville, Jacob Morten of Alton and Alyssa Patterson of Wood River; and his great grandchildren, Trenton Morten of Bethalto, Amberlee Morten of Bethalto and Hudson Snyder of Edwardsville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
