It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Valenti of Wood River, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Mark shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mark farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Valenti and Vivian Winslow (Higgins); and his stepfather Carl Guthrie. He is survived by: his daughter Brooke Valenti-Jouett (Josh) of Sherman, IL; his grandson Rhett Jouett; his sister Missy Marshall (Mike) of Moro; his niece Sydney Buhs (Jake); his nephew Travis Marshall; and his stepsiblings, Rick Guthrie and Vonnie Pinkos.
