We bid farewell to Shelly Grover (Wood River, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 4, 2025 at the age of 78. Shelly touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Shelly is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Shelly's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hill and Fern Hill (Wathern); and her brother Rand Hill. She is survived by: her daughters, Me'shel Riedel (Diane Butrus) of Clayton, MO and Melissa Brown (Tim) of Jerseyville; and her grandchildren, Jacob Brown (Mary), Luke Brown (Maddie), Katey Kimble (Mitch) and Alex Riedel (Abby Lawrence).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Marks Mortuary (633 E Lorena Ave, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
