Stella Rye Obituary
The memory of Stella Rye (Wood River, Illinois), who passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Humphress and Anna Leona Humphress (Austin); her husband Jack; her son Steven Dale Rye; and her siblings, John Humphress, Marie Schnapp, Frances Wanless, Ruby Ziegler, Shirley Bloodworth, Deloris Ilsley and Ella Leona Stiltz.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Mendenhall (John) of Edwardsville and Scott Alan Rye (Darlene) of Murfreesboro, TN; and her daughter-in-law Kay Rye of Fairview Heights. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
