With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gwendolyn D. Strand of Woodhull, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gwendolyn left this world on July 11, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart Dahlstrom and Ida Dahlstrom (Larson); her husband George Strand; and her siblings, Miriam Landes and Donald Dahlstrom.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Scott (Arlee) of Galesburg and Janis Langdon (Dean) of Normal; her grandchildren, Brandi Talbot, Andrew Scott (Nichole), Peter Scott (Shona), Katy Arvizu (Alex), Matthew Langdon (Emily) and Nicole Leahr (Brett); her great grandchildren, Richard, Katherine, Zachariah, Hannah, Caleb, Carter, Isaac, Everly, Sadie, Sayla and Aaron; and her sister-in-law Janet Dahlstrom.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home (525 N Division St, Woodhull, IL 61490). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (380 W 3rd Ave, Woodhull, IL 61490).
Memorial contributions may be left to the Bethany Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
