He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon Jesse and Justina Castillo Ramirez Sr.; his siblings, Cil Grady and Ric Ramirez; and his father-in-law Ken Kearney.

He is survived by: his wife Patty Ramirez; his children, Brandon Ramirez (Nica), Jason Ramirez, Kendra O'Brien (Sean) and Kassi Cowser; his grandchildren, Tayia, Nia, Kobe, Italia, Lorenz, Isaiah, Ariana, Jared, Camron, Penelope, Sadie and Stella; his siblings, Sy Ramirez and Juanita Chandlee; his mother-in-law Phyllis Kearney; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Nelson (Barry) and Penny Dettman (Bill). He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home (525 N Division St, Woodhull, IL 61490). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Patrick's Catholic Church (858 S Academy St, Galesburg, IL 61401).

Memorial contributions may be left to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the St. Vincent Organization in Galesburg.
