He is survived by: his wife Debra Hails (Douthit); his children, Troy Hails (Jen) of Woodlawn, Kaci Dunbar (Klayton) of Woodlawn and Haden Hails of Woodlawn; his grandchildren, Daemean, Cale, Taylen, Treyson, Kreedance, August and Koraline; his brothers, Roger Hails (Diana) of Centralia and Doug Hails (Karen) of Centralia; his mother-in-law Mary Douthit of Dix; and his brother-in-law David Douthit of Dix. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fouts Christian Church (1629 E Dix-Irvington Rd, Centralia, IL 62801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
