With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwight Sanders of Woodlawn, Illinois, who passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newell Sanders and Martha Marie Sanders (Mattox); and his siblings, Melvin Sanders, Marvin Sanders, Robert Sanders (Bob), Roy Sanders, Floyd Earl Sanders, Esther Edwards and Mary Capps.
He is survived by: his wife Rena Sanders (Coleman) of Woodlawn, Illinois; his children, Roger Sanders, Mary Jo Sanders (Henson) of Cedar Hill, Lisa Sanders, Nate Bucklin of Minneapolis, Linda Blauvelt (Sanders), Dan Blauvelt of Fair Grove, Dee "Birdie" Deanna Sanders and Jaime Tolbert of Marion, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Danielle Sanders, Amy, Matt Odom, Benjamin Cox, Cameron Crews, Cody Crews, Carter Crews, Trevor Sanders, KayLee Sanders and Cooper Tolbert; his siblings, Mildred Rapp of Zephyr, Texas, Glenn Sanders (Margie) of Johnston City and Charles Sanders (Sue) of Woodlawn, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Dessie Sanders of Woodlawn and Vickie Sanders of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
