He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Johnson and Edith M. Johnson (Cox); his siblings, Genevieve Fanning (John C.), Shirley Elliston (Elwin), Greta Calvin (Robert), Mona Knox (Sonnie), Lloyd Johnson, Richard Johnson and William "Bill Boy" Johnson (Beverly); his siblings-in-law, Shirley Anderson (Michael Anderson), Betty Southard (Gale), Ida Reeves, Reta Meadows, Elizabeth Ann Meadows, Edward Tate and John H. Meadows; and his nephew Dennis Calvin.
He is survived by: his wife Sharion Johnson of Woodlawn; his daughter Deanna Lynch of Sesser; his grandsons, Andrew Lynch (Amanda) of Woodlawn and Kyle Lynch (Amy Dixon) of Sesser; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Kinsley Lynch of Woodlawn and Eliza Lynch of Sesser; and his sister-in-law Vera Hayes of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
