He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Curtis and Vivian Curtis (Stovall); his wife May-June Curtis; his siblings, William Curtis and Ester Mae Bambans; and his son-in-law Michael Cooney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terry Walke (Mark) and Deborah Curtis-Cooney; his grandchildren, Steven Walke (Amanda), Heather Michels (Brad), Shawn Cooney (Janice) and Erin Young (Dave Laninga); his great grandchildren, Lillian Cooney, Margaret Cooney, Clara Cooney, Kade Laninga, Julianna Michels, Cooper Laninga and Ryan Michels; and his brother George Curtis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
