He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Smith and Betty Smith; his sister Maureen Spoerlein; his parents-in-law, Larry C Dhom and Shirley Dhom; and his siblings-in-law, Larry E. Dhom, Peggy L. Dhom, Michael Godwin and Patty Dhom.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dhom of Mary's Church; his children, Scott Smith (Jessica), Sarah Kanak (Dave), Lindsay Loehner (Todd) and Lauren Hoadley (Seth); and his siblings, Marilyn Rice (David) and Ken Smith (Kristy). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or a tree may be planted in his memory.
