He was predeceased by: his parents, Willet W. Schaefer and Walda J. Schaefer (Jank); his wife Marti; his brother Ron Schaefer; and his grandson Dakota Schaefer.
He is survived by: his son Matthew Schaefer (Megan Wiley); his siblings, Cathy Bright of Alhambra, Daniel, Linda Schaefer of Centralia and Judy Stack of Centralia; and his grandchildren, Harper Schaefer, Luca Schaefer-Knight and Ezekiel Schaefer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
