She was predeceased by: her parents, Payton James and Norma J. "Jackie" McGivney (Aldrich); her daughter Tina Persinger; and her siblings, John McGivney and Jerry Lee "Pate" McGivney.

She is survived by: her friend Junior Goff of Xenia; her daughters, Tammy Hays of Xenia and Debra Murphy of Salem; her siblings, Angela Hinkle (Ed) of Xenia, Jane Albert (Larry) of Iuka, Kathy Riley (late Jim) of Forrest and Payton James of Flora; her granddaughters, Jessica Rothrock (Mitch) of Effingham, Amber Persinger of Xenia, Kristi Goff (Billy Schlosser) of Mattoon and Jessica Goff (Daniel South) of Enfield; her close friends, Susan Spitz and Nancy Bayles; and her son-in-law Rodney Persinger of Flora. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations are suggested to the family for a memorial fund and will be accepted through the funeral home.
