With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kathryn Sue Sorensen of Yorkville, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Kathryn left this world on November 6, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, G. Kenneth Roach and Frances Roach (LaGow); her husband Jim; and her sister Rita Settles (Fred). She is survived by: her children, Brian Sorensen (Michele) of Somonauk and Marcia Pakenham (Andy) of Newark; her grandchildren, David Lynn (Saron), Heather Lindsley (Quinten) and Jeannette Fichtel (Tim); her brother Doug Roach (Crystal); and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Sorensen of Dwight. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery W Somonauk.
