He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude Bertha Hills; his daughter Susan Lyn Hills; his parents, Clinton B. Hills and Amanda E. Hills; his siblings, Jeanne Mortvedt, Betty Stallman, Howard Hills and Donald Hills; and his niece Peggy Niles.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Hills (Jane) and Thomas Hills (Sue); his grandchildren, Julie Jespersen (Russ), Jason Hills, Nicole Lyle (TJ) and Daniel Hills (Karedon); his great grandchildren, Garrett Jespersen, Carson Jespersen, Arabella Hills, Alivia Lyle, Saylor Hills, Riley Lyle and Kallan Hills; and his nieces and nephews, Rick Stallman (Nancy), Verne Mortvedt, Jr. (Dawn), Eric Mortvedt, Jon Mortvedt (Sandi), Dennis Hills, Donald Hills (Pam), Barbara Strey (Allen), Bonnie Berger, Valerie Hills, Patty Strong, Donna Manning (Rich), Deborah Powell (Skip) and Danette Deligiannis (Bill).
