It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Cox of Zion, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Cox to pay them a last tribute.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Gary shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gary farewell, we carry with us the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding us through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna Lenzen (Roman) and Gerald Clinton; his former life partner Marilyn Cox; his brother Roger Cox; and his stepdaughter Susie Reese.

He is survived by : his children, Mike Cox, Cindy Cox and Virginia Paulsen (Christopher); and his stepsons, Mark Selner and Jerry Smith.

A wake was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home (4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary's memory to his family.
